Memory (RAM)

RAM – volatile part of computer memory that stores in all the temporary files and computer commands and thereby allowing the process to carry out the task given to him. The more this characteristic, the faster the computer. In itself, however memory can not exist, so its function performs a special technical device called random access memory, RAM abbreviated. It has a certain volume, this volume is greater than the better. After all, if you do not pay proper attention to this characteristic, the solution during computer -intensive programs, RAM may not be enough, and he will have to use part of the hard disk (swap file), it is very difficult for the system.



Several distinct types of memory, which differ in the frequency of the tire and, consequently, the speed (the higher the frequency, the greater the speed):

  • SDR, has a frequency of 66 – 133 MHz
  • DDR, has a frequency of 100 – 267 MHz
  • DDR2, has a frequency of 400 – 1066
  • DDR3, has a frequency of 800 – 2400 MHz
  • DDR4 (already developed but not yet available for purchase), has a frequency of 2133 – 4266 MHz
